India, Sept. 16 -- Vijay Sethupathi's hit Tamil thriller Maharaja is going Hollywood. The 2024 film, helmed by Nithilan Saminathan, is set to be remade for a global audience. Reports suggest that an A-list Hollywood actor could step into the role played by Vijay Sethupathi.

A name closely linked to the project is Matthew McConaughey. However, his casting is not officially confirmed yet. Producer Sudhan Sundaram has hinted that McConaughey is among the actors who could be approached for the role. However, the Hollywood agency involved is expected to make the final call.
