This was their second consecutive win in the tournament, as their campaign got a new lease of life after a horrible start, with three defeats in a row. Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad was adjudged player of the match for his spell of 3 for 21, which helped CSK defend 192 for 5 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

KKR is still winless, having lost four and drawn one, sitting at the bottom of the table. CSK has climbed to eighth spot in the points table, with four points.
