India, March 24 -- What should have been the biggest celebration for Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans turned into one of the worst nightmare last year. On June 4, a day after RCB lifted their maiden IPL title in 2025, a victory parade near the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium ended in a stampede that claimed 11 lives. Now, the franchise has decided to honour those fans in a way that will be remembered forever. RCB will keep 11 seats permanently empty at the stadium as a tribute to the lives lost.

According to a report by the Times of India, the team will also wear jersey number 11 during practice sessions and black armbands during their IPL 2026 campaign to remember the victims.
