India, May 9 -- The Rajasthan Royals (RR) campaign in the IPL 2026 suffered a huge blow on Saturday, May 9, after a humiliating 77-run defeat against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The loss has dented their confidence and Net Run Rate (NRR) but the road to the playoffs is still very much open for the men in pink.
The Impact of the GT Loss
It was a head-to-head fight for the second spot and so the loss was especially painful. Gujarat Titans posted a gigantic 229/4, with Shubman Gill's masterclass of 84 leading the way.
