India, April 23 -- The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp has been struck by a deep personal tragedy ahead of their high-profile "El Clasico" clash against Mumbai Indians. Left arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary has left the team bubble on Thursday, April 23, 2026, following the sad demise of his mother, Prem Devi. She passed away late Tuesday night at Mumbai's Tata Hospital after a courageous year-long battle with a chronic illness.

Mukesh has rushed to his hometown in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, to perform the last rites alongside his family, leaving a significant void in the CSK bowling department during an already injury-riddled season. He is likely to miss CSK's clash with Mumbai Indians on April 23. His rejoining date is still awaited.
