India, June 16 -- Stock Market Today | Closing Bell: Indian equity markets wrapped up the session on June 16 in a pretty strong mood, with the Nifty sort of hovering around 24,000 and the Sensex moving up by 544.15 points, or 0.71%, to finish at 76,808.48. Meanwhile, the Nifty added 135.25 points, or 0.57%, and ended at 23,989.15. Overall market breadth stayed positive too, with 2,275 shares ticking higher against 1,795 slipping. Among the better performers were HCL Technologies, Tata Consumer, HUL, Bajaj Finserv, and NTPC, whereas Hindalco, JSW Steel, HDFC Life, and Eicher Motors trailed a bit behind.
