India, June 13 -- The Southwest Monsoon is making a strong headway across the country with scattered rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds in many areas of India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued weather alerts for several states for all the weather parameters such as heavy rain, hailstorm, squally wind and some localized flooding. The changing weather has already brought relief from the heat wave like weather conditions in many northern states including Delhi-NCR, due to overnight rain and thunderstorms, temperature dropped drastically.
