India, Oct. 3 -- India will take on Thailand in the men's 5th-place match at the Asian Games 2026 on Saturday, October 3, with both teams looking to finish their campaigns on a positive note.

India booked their place in the fifth-place match with a 3-1 victory over South Korea, winning 25-16, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23. After dropping the third set, India held their nerve in the fourth to close out the match and set up the meeting with Thailand.

Thailand, meanwhile, earned their place in the fifth-place playoff after beating Qatar 3-1 in their classification match. Thailand won 25-20, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21 to move into the contest against India.
