India, Aug. 19 -- The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has formally written to the Cape Verde Football Federation, seeking confirmation of an international friendly match against the Indian men's national football team during the upcoming autumn FIFA international window. According to reports from senior sports journalist Boria Majumdar, the rising African nation has emerged as the federation's primary preference, while two-time world champions Uruguay remain a viable secondary option in ongoing discussions.

AIFF has now formally written to Cape Verde seeking their confirmation to play India in the FIFA window.

Uruguay remains the second team that is being spoken to.
