India, May 24 -- Let us lower the temperature and shun the sharp rhetoric. Let the experts on the two sides hammer out a mutually acceptable trade deal.

Though the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio will be in Delhi, purportedly, to attend the Quad Foreign Ministers' meeting, India must avail of this opportunity to have an upfront, frank and candid conversation covering all aspects of the multidimensional and multifaceted relationship between the two countries, not only to iron out the wrinkles that have been publicly visible but to bring ties back on an even keel and take forward to a much higher level with a clear vision, embracing mutual understanding, mutual respect and mutual accommodation as the key mantra.
