India, June 1 -- India and Australia on Monday took significant steps to strengthen their strategic partnership, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles co-chairing the second India-Australia Defence Ministers' Dialogue in New Delhi.

During the high-level meeting leaders reviewed progress made since the inaugural dialogue in October 2025 and outlined an ambitious roadmap to deepen defence, maritime, industrial, and technological cooperation between the two Indo-Pacific partners.
