India, Aug. 11 -- West Indies' latest setback means they will not be part of the directly qualified teams for the ICC ODI World Cup 2027, which will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. The Caribbean side, ranked 10th in the ODI rankings, cannot break into the automatic qualification spots even with their remaining ODIs against India before the September 30 cut-off. Meanwhile, Afghanistan's qualification has completed the list of 10 teams currently assured of a place in the tournament.
