India, Sept. 14 -- The HYROX event in Beijing has become the centre of a heated debate after Australian athlete Joanna Wietrzyk continued competing despite suffering bowel incontinence during the race.

Wietrzyk, a world-record holder in the women's solo event, completed the race in 1:01:23 and won her division. Videos from the event later spread across social media, showing the athlete continuing through several stations despite the incident.

Athlete Developed Diarrhea Right During the Competition

Australian athlete Joanna Wietrzyk was unable to control her bowels during a HYROX race in China. The mess ended up on her legs, clothing, the flooring, and the equipment.
