India, July 23 -- The Commonwealth Games 2026 will take place in Glasgow, Scotland between July 23 and August 2. Over 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories of the Commonwealth will compete for 215 gold medals in 10 sports and six para-sports integrated into them. South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Cameroon and Zambia are some of the African countries that are expected to be among the medal contenders in athletics, boxing, weightlifting, swimming and other events.
