India, Aug. 3 -- India wrapped up an outstanding campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, finishing fourth in the overall medals table after delivering one of its strongest performances in the event's history. The Indian contingent secured 39 medals-13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze-even though the programme was significantly smaller and did not include traditional medal-rich sports such as shooting, wrestling, badminton, hockey and table tennis.
