India, Sept. 3 -- Punjabi singer and lyricist Baljit Singh was found dead inside his residence in Sudhar Patti Dhaliwal village in Ludhiana on Thursday, September 3. His decomposed body was discovered after neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from the house and alerted the police.

Baljit Singh reportedly lived alone and had not been seen for several days. When police reached his residence, his body was found lying on the bed. Preliminary assessment suggested that he may have died around four to five days before the body was discovered.
