India, July 13 -- The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced a new feature that allows users to add or update their email ID through the Aadhaar App without visiting an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. The online service is available from July 1, 2026, and will remain free until December 31, 2026. Earlier, Aadhaar holders had to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or enrolment centre to add or update their email ID. With the latest update, users can now complete the entire process digitally through the official Aadhaar App, making the service quicker and more convenient.
