India, Oct. 4 -- Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are forecast through Sunday in Southeast Texas by the National Weather Service (NWS) Houston/Galveston, with the better chances for storms near the coast. Locally heavy rainfall and localised flooding are a greater threat to Galveston and other coastal communities, with scattered showers and storms also possible in portions of Houston and farther inland. As the frontal boundary moves offshore, cooler and drier conditions are expected to develop Monday into midweek, forecasters said.
