India, Aug. 16 -- Himachal Pradesh School Holiday Tomorrow (August 17): Schools in Himachal Pradesh holiday tomorrow, August 17, 2026 while the public schools in the state will be closed on Monday as a compensatory holiday. This is because the state government has instructed schools to stay open on August 15 to mark the occasion of Independence Day however, private schools have the option of deciding on this holiday as per their wish. The schools will be closed due to Himachal Pradesh being under active monsoon conditions, according to the forecasts by IMD.
