India, Aug. 8 -- Himachal Pradesh Chamba Bus Accident: A routine morning journey through the mountainous roads of Himachal Pradesh turned tragic on Saturday when a private bus crashed in Chamba district, leaving seven passengers dead and 11 others injured. The accident took place amid difficult monsoon conditions in the state, raising fresh concerns about road safety on vulnerable hill routes.

The bus was travelling from Bairagarh towards Chamba when it met with an accident near Chalunj Mor on the Tissa-Bairagarh route at around 7:15 am. Police said 18 people were travelling in the bus at the time. Seven passengers died at the scene, while the remaining 11 sustained injuries and were taken to hospitals for treatment.
