India, Aug. 2 -- Yesterday evening, a wildfire broke out in Grants Pass, Oregon. Now, the blaze has intensified overnight and multiple restrictions have been imposed. Rescue efforts are underway at the site.

What Happened?

On August 1, 2026 a fast moving fire erupted along the Interstate 5 near Grants Pass in Oregon. The wildfire initially ignited around 4:00 P.M. local time and grew rapidly. The wildfire has now grown by 75 acres and destroyed at least 1 local residence nearby.

No casualties or injuries have been reported yet. Oregon's West Coast neighbours Washington and California are also dealing with fast moving wildfires currently.
