India, July 18 -- The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has relaxed several rules for residents living in its housing colonies, making it easier for flat owners to carry out home modifications. The revised policy, which has come into effect immediately, simplifies the approval process for several types of additions and renovations.

What Changes Have Been Made Under The New DDA Policy?

The DDA has divided home modification requests into different approval categories to reduce delays and paperwork. Under the revised policy, some works can be carried out simply by informing the authority, while others will require prior approval depending on the type of construction or alteration.
