India, July 17 -- The gold rates were soft on 17 July 2026 due to their continuation of weekly downtrend amid investors reaction against high yield US bonds, strong dollar and uncertainties about future interest rates. The domestic rates of gold also fell on weak international cues and low demands from jewelry buyers. Gold remains one of the most popular choices among Indian investors particularly when there is inflation but the current market saw a minor dip where 24 K gold dropped by Rs.76 per gram to Rs.14,253, 22 K gold fell by Rs.70 to Rs.13,065 and 18 K gold fell by Rs.57 to Rs.10,690.
