India, Aug. 24 -- Gold Price Today in India (August 24): Gold prices extended their gains in India, with 24K gold moving above Rs 1.63 lakh per 10 grams. According to reports, the benchmark 24K rate rose to Rs 16.397 per gram from the previous session. 22K gold rose to Rs 15,030 per gram, while 18K gold climbed to Rs 12,293 per gram.

The domestic rally followed a strong move in global bullion prices. Spot gold touched $4,643.63 per ounce, its highest level in more than three months, as a weaker US dollar supported demand. Investors are also watching upcoming US inflation data and Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's speech for fresh clues on interest-rate policy.
