India, Oct. 2 -- The year 2026 will witness the celebration of Gandhi Jayanti 2026 on Friday, October 2, being the 157th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, who was born on October 2, 1869. Moreover, the date is celebrated worldwide as the International Day of Non-Violence after the UN created this observance in 2007.

It is important to note that Gandhi Jayanti is much more than just another date.
