India, May 19 -- India witnessed yet another increase in petrol and diesel prices on Tuesday, marking the second fuel price revision within five days and the latest hike of nearly 90 paise per litre has added pressure on households, transport operators and small businesses already struggling with rising living costs. The revision comes against the backdrop of soaring global crude oil prices, tensions in West Asia and fears of supply disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical oil transit routes.
