India, May 26 -- Cameron Norrie endured a frustrating and emotional exit at the French Open after being forced to retire injured during his opening-round clash against Adolfo Daniel Vallejo. It marked the first Grand Slam retirement of Norrie's career, with the British No. 1 unable to battle through a rib problem that had already disrupted his preparations heading into Roland Garros.
