India, Aug. 19 -- A Reckoning for Boeing turns the spotlight back on the aviation giant, this time centred on the story of whistleblower John Barnett. Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Rory Kennedy, the 93-minute documentary arrived on Netflix on August 19, 2026, as a follow-up to her 2022 film Downfall: The Case Against Boeing.

While Downfall examined the two Boeing 737 MAX crashes that killed 346 people, Freefall looks at what happened in the years that followed. The documentary features Barnett's story alongside accounts from other current and former Boeing employees who raised concerns about manufacturing and safety practices.
