India, Aug. 13 -- Former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked near Mata Sahib Gurdwara at Takht Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded, Maharashtra, on Thursday. Badal suffered an injury to his hand after an assailant allegedly tried to attack him with a sharp-edged weapon. The incident took place around 11:30 am when Badal was on his way to the gurdwara. Police personnel intervened immediately and detained the alleged attacker.
