India, Aug. 19 -- Florida Primary Result 2026 Live Update: South Florida's congressional races moved into a new phase Tuesday night as Miami-Dade voters cast ballots in three closely watched US House contests. Polls closed at 7 PM on August 18, with voters choosing party nominees who will compete in the November 3 general election.

The races in Florida's Congressional Districts attracted attention because of an open-seat contest in District 24, a newly redrawn District 25 and a Republican-held District 27 where Democrats are trying to mount a challenge. The newly redrawn congressional map is also being tested for the first time in the election cycle.
