India, June 1 -- The wait is finally over for the Indian football fans, with Zee Entertainment securing the broadcasting rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026 after months of uncertainty and speculation. The company has agreed to an eight-year deal with the football governing body, which will also let them cover the next men's World Cup in 2030, the Women's World Cup 2027, and other FIFA competitions during this period.

Zee has also announced that four dedicated sports channels would be introduced to telecast premium football content, including all matches of the upcoming World Cup, slated to kick off on June 11 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
