India, June 28 -- The group stage of the historic 48-team FIFA World Cup 2026 has officially concluded and the tournament now moves into its most brutal phase. In football, it will be the first time teams compete in a new single-elimination Round of 32.

The knockout stage is full of highly anticipated blockbusters.
