India, June 13 -- Reports circulating on social media claiming that four Indian seafarers have been killed in Oman are false. The Ministry of External Affairs quickly responded, confirming that all crew members aboard the vessel MT Liaki Freedom are safe. This clarification came amid fresh reports of strikes on commercial vessels and growing concerns over the safety of Indians in the Gulf of Oman. Prior to the incident, other ships had been attacked earlier this week, resulting in the deaths of three seafarers in an incident. The MEA condemned that specific attack and rescued 21 other individuals who were inside the ship at the time when attacked by the US military.
