India, July 18 -- Championship leader Kimi Antonelli will start Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix from pole position after securing the top spot for Mercedes. Red Bull's Max Verstappen will join the 19-year-old Italian on the front row of the grid.

McLaren's Lando Norris ended the high-stakes qualifying session third fastest. However, a costly 10-place grid penalty for changing his power unit drops the British driver down the starting order.

As a result of Norris's penalty, Mercedes' George Russell moves up to share the second row with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc.
