India, April 17 -- As the U.S. military maintains its naval blockade of the Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, the European energy shortage due to fallout from the crisis since late February is staring down a ticking clock.

Europe has only six weeks of jet fuel remaining if oil flows from the Middle East are not restored within the coming weeks, the head of a global energy watchdog told the Associated Press, issuing a stark warning as the U.S.-Iran war continues to cause supply shocks and turmoil to the global energy markets.
