India, June 24 -- The UAE is preparing to enter a new era of public transportation as Etihad Rail gets ready to welcome its first passenger services. The national railway project, designed to connect all seven emirates through a modern rail network, will begin operations with an introductory route linking Abu Dhabi and Fujairah before expanding to additional destinations across the country.

Officials say the rail network will offer faster travel between major cities, reduce road congestion, and provide a more sustainable alternative to car journeys and domestic flights. The launch marks a significant milestone in one of the UAE's largest infrastructure projects.
