India, Sept. 15 -- England enter the series in excellent T20I form, having recently completed a 4-0 series win over India, while Sri Lanka have lost 10 of their 15 completed T20Is in 2026. The visitors also face a daunting head-to-head record, having lost their last 12 T20Is against England.

England will be without several players because of injuries and rotation, with Phil Salt, Jacob Bethell and Sam Curran ruled out. That opens the door for Aneurin Donald to make his T20I debut, while Jordan Cox returns to the format for the first time since October 2025. Jofra Archer has been rested after the Test series against Pakistan and is expected to return for the second T20I.

Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will hope their spin-heavy attack can trouble...
