India, May 27 -- Eid al-Adha preparations have started across Bangladesh as people prepare to celebrate Bakra Eid 2026 with prayers, family gatherings and traditional animal sacrifice ceremonies.

From Dhaka to Chattogram, markets are witnessing heavy crowds as families begin Eid shopping and livestock purchases ahead of one of the country's biggest religious festivals.

Authorities are also preparing transport arrangements, security measures and public holiday schedules for the Eid season.

According to Islamic calendar calculations, Eid Al Adha 2026 in Pakistan is observed from Wednesday, May 28, 2026. It is a festival of Muslims in Pakistan to honour Prophet Ibrahim's absolute devotion to Allah.
