India, July 5 -- '.Maybe she has anger issues. (But) she is at least still standing by Mamata Didi. We are friends now.'

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra was back at the centre of a political storm last week after alleging that BJP workers pelted eggs and stones at a TMC meeting in Nadia's Palashi-the latest in a string of controversies that critics say reveal a parliamentarian more invested in confrontation than accountability.

On Wednesday, Moitra was attending a preparatory meeting at the residence of Kaliganj MLA Alifa Ahmed, when a crowd gathered outside, waving black flags and shouting "go back" and "chor" (thief) slogans, before hurling eggs, mud and cow dung at the building.
