India, July 29 -- Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump paid close to $5.6 million in damages to E Jean Carroll. Now his legal team and the US Department of Justice have reached out to the Supreme Court and called for it to overturn the verdict in the high profile case.

DOJ & Donald Trump Appeal to US Supreme Court

Today, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) as well as the legal team of Donald Trump both appealed to the US Supreme Court in two separate petitions. Both petitions call upon the US Supreme Court to take up the high profile defamation case of E Jean Carroll against Trump and reverse the verdict.
