India, Sept. 1 -- The subject of prescription drug prices under US President Donald Trump has been discussed quite a bit. And this afternoon, 9 drugmakers signed a deal with the current administration regarding price cuts for prescription drugs. News of the deal was shared by President Trump at a White House event.

President Trump's Announcement

US President Donald Trump announced that his administration signed a deal with 9 drugmakers to lower prescription drug prices in the US. "We now have 26 companies representing 90 per cent of the domestic pharmaceutical market, and the other 10 per cent are also coming in [to make deals]. They have no choice," he said.
