India, Sept. 29 -- US President Donald Trump has once again raised questions about his decision to give up his presidential salary, saying he receives little appreciation for foregoing the money. Trump made the remarks while discussing the $400,000 annual salary that US law provides to the president. His comments have brought renewed attention to his first-term decision to donate his presidential pay and his latest approach to the salary after returning to the White House in January 2025.

Trump said he receives little recognition for giving up the money attached to the presidency.

"I don't take my salary. Do I get thanks for it? None," Trump said.
