India, Sept. 25 -- The individual badminton competition at the Asian Games 2026 gets underway on Friday, September 25, with Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto beginning their mixed doubles campaign. The Indian pair will face Aminath Nabeeha Abdul Razzaq and Ahmed Nibal of the Maldives in the Round of 32.

The Indian pair will be looking to make a positive start to their campaign after the badminton team events earlier in the Games. India's men's team reached the semi-finals, where it lost 3-0 to China, while the women's team also progressed through the early stages before its campaign ended against China.
