India, July 12 -- Rainfall has stopped in Delhi for now, leading to a sharp rise in temperatures over the past two days. The sun is likely to remain out for most of the day, causing temperatures to rise further after the recent break in monsoon activity. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the national capital is expected to witness partly cloudy skies and dry weather on Sunday, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 37-39 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to remain between 26degC and 28degC. Weather officials say temperatures have already increased by nearly 6degC over the past two days, and a further rise is possible.
