India, June 13 -- Could the Delhi-Mumbai road journey soon take just 12 hours instead of more than a day? That possibility is now closer than ever as the Delhi Mumbai Expressway nears full completion. The Delhi Mumbai Expressway, India's biggest road project, is now close to becoming fully operational. The 1,386 km expressway connecting the country's two largest cities is nearing completion after work on a key tunnel near Kota in Rajasthan was finished. Once fully operational, travel time between Delhi and Mumbai is expected to come down from more than 24 hours to around 12 hours.
