India, Aug. 8 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has changed the schedule of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Delhi's electoral rolls, providing more time to the voters to undergo the process of verification. The extension is to cover all eligible voters and to remove duplicate, shifted or ineligible entries from the electoral database.

The house-to-house verification by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will continue till August 17 and the draft electoral roll will be published on August 24 under the revised schedule. From 24 August to 23 September citizens can file claims and objections and the final electoral roll will be published on 27 October.
