India, Sept. 4 -- Delhi's Janmashtami celebrations came with a dramatic change in weather on Friday, September 4, as a spell of heavy rain quickly turned several parts of the capital into waterlogged zones. Among the most striking visuals that emerged from the downpour were videos from Indira Gandhi International Airport, where passengers and airport staff could be seen moving through waterlogged areas with luggage.
The rain affected more than roads and residential areas. Flight operations also faced disruption as nine flights were diverted between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm because of adverse weather conditions. Four flights went to Jaipur, four to Lucknow and one to Ahmedabad, according to an airport source cited by Times Now.
