India, April 11 -- The Government of NCT of Delhi has released the draft Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2026-2030, aiming to accelerate clean mobility and reduce pollution in the national capital. The new policy proposes major changes across vehicle segments, including a complete shift towards electric vehicles in the coming years.

Only Electric 3-Wheelers to Be Registered from 2027

One of the biggest highlights is that from January 1, 2027, only electric three-wheelers will be allowed for new registrations in Delhi. This move is expected to significantly cut emissions from auto-rickshaws.
