India, June 21 -- The Telugu romantic drama Deewana is showing some encouraging signs at the box office after a kind of slow start. Apparently the film's first day got disturbed by unexpected censor clearance delays, and because of that, its overall collection took a hit. Still, it later managed to bounce back on Day 2, with earnings jumping quite a bit.

Exhibitors say that during the morning shows occupancy was rather low, but then the crowd started turning up much better, especially in the evening and night screenings. The movie seems to be catching the attention of younger viewers too, more so in urban centers.
