India, March 29 -- A major move to bolster India's military strength, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, has accorded acceptance of necessity (AoN) for a range of high-value defence procurement proposals estimated at around Rs 2.38 lakh crore.
These approvals encompass a broad array of advanced systems aimed at enhancing operational preparedness, surveillance, firepower, and communication networks for Indian Army, Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Coast Guard.
